NEW GOVERNMENT MANDATES 

On Wednesday, September 15, 2021 the Government of Alberta announced new health measures due to increased COVID-19 cases and the impact on our health care system. 

These measures put the responsibility on us to either implement proof of vaccination policies, or follow restrictions that would reduce or remove club activities. We understand the importance of providing a safe environment for everyone in our clubs where Albertans can pursue their fitness journeys, while also maintaining the expectations of provincial mandates.


After thoroughly reviewing both options, we have decided to remain fully operational for our members and employees by requiring proof of vaccination or negative test results at all our clubs.

In choosing this option, we can keep providing our members with the GYMVMT services and amenities they love and keep our employees working. We appreciate the opportunity to continue to operate our clubs, and value the support of our amazing employees and members during this transition.

Spick and Span

  • Our dedicated housekeeping team and club staff work in tandem to clean and disinfect our clubs  
  • We pay close attention to high-tough surfaces by disinfecting them throughout the day 
  • Protect yourself and others, please disinfect equipment, lockers, and water nozzles before and after use with supplied disinfectant wipes 
  • Certainty disinfectant wipes will continue to be available throughout the gym floor, which kill 99.9% of germs, viruses, and fungi from all hard, non-porous surfaces — and they’re also certified by Health Canada. 
  • Our team disinfects the club frequently, focusing on popular equipment and high-touch areas  
  • High-touch surfaces in the shower areas are disinfected throughout the day  
  • Showers will be thoroughly disinfected nightly with Sabre Disinfectant – rated by Health Canada as effective against COVID-19  
  • Towels are kept at front desk
  • Certainty disinfectant wipes are available throughout the gym floor, which kill 99.9% of germs, viruses, and fungi from all hard, non-porous surfaces — and they’re also certified by Health Canada  
  • We use Vert2Go SABER Heavy-Duty Disinfectant and Vert2Go GLASS cleaner in all areas of the club, which are listed as effective against COVID-19 by the Government of Alberta  
  • Hand sanitizing and equipment disinfecting stations will still be available throughout all areas of the club   stations throughout all areas of the club 

Sweat Safely

Effective Monday, September 20, 2021, all members and guests will be asked to present one of the following:

  1. Proof of vaccination
  2. Proof of a privately-paid negative COVID-19 test result taken within a 72- hour window prior to entering club (PCR or rapid antigen test)
  3. Documentation for a medical exemption

As of October 25, 2021, proof of double vaccination is required.

NOTE: Complimentary membership freezes for up to 30 days are available for members who need time to explore their options.   

Masks are required to be worn in our clubs , even when we have received proof of vaccination or negative test results:

  • Masks must be worn in the lobby when entering or exiting the club
  • Masks must continue to be worn in the hallways and changerooms
  • Masks can be removed when exercising or in the steam rooms and saunas
  • Proof of vaccination, negative covid test or medical exemption is required upon entry.
  • Booking is not required for regular gym floor workouts – just come on in!  
  • Group Fitness, PWR X LAB and Tru Ride classes will still be booked in the GYMVMT app, as limited spots are available. 
  • Check in with your membership ID  tagor digital scan tag in the GYMVMT app
  • Protective barriers are installed at all reception desks 
  • All equipment is available again, including Airdyne bikes, rowers and Skill Mills! 
  • Guiding floor markers will remain in clubs to help direct traffic 
  • All lockers, showers, steam rooms and saunas are now open!
  • A protective face mask is required inside locker areas. 

Group FitnesS

  • Secure your spot by booking your class in the GYMVMT app up to 7 days in advance 
  • Plan to arrive 10 minutes before class  
  • Avoid congregating outside of the studio doors  
  • Leave all belongings in the changeroom   
  • Mats are now available in studio once again 
  • Physical distancing is no longer required 
  • Some physically-distanced classes will still be available to book  

If you can’t make your class, please cancel your booking minimum 1 hour before class to allow for someone on the waitlist to attend
