Spick and Span

  • Our dedicated housekeeping team and club staff work in tandem to clean and disinfect our clubs throughout the day
  • “Safe cleaning” practices focused on frequently disinfecting high-touch areas in the clubs
  • Protect yourself and others, please disinfect equipment, lockers, and water nozzles before and after use with supplied Certainty disinfectant wipes
  • Our team follows “safe cleaning” practices focused on disinfecting frequently used equipment and high-touch areas
  • Personal trainers disinfect all equipment for their clients before and after use
  • Group Fitness instructors disinfect all equipment with Vert2Go SABER Heavy-Duty Disinfectant and mop floors after each class
  • You’ll also find increased equipment disinfecting wipe stations
  • We upgraded to Certainty disinfectant wipes at all locations, which kill 99.9% of germs, viruses, and fungi from all hard, non-porous surfaces – they’re also certified by Health Canada
  • We use Vert2Go SABER Heavy-Duty Disinfectant and Vert2Go GLASS cleaner in all areas of the club, which are listed as effective against COVID-19 by the Government of Alberta
  • Hand sanitation and equipment disinfecting stations have been increased throughout all areas of the club

Sweat Safely

  • Club hours have been temporarily modified
    • Visit our locations pages for your club’s hours
    • Club capacities are limited to 25% of the occupancy set under the Alberta Fire Code 
  • All employees are required to wear a mask while working
  • Members are asked to wear a face covering when not exercising in accordance with Edmonton and Calgary mask bylaws
  • Face coverings are not required when working out 
  • Employees are required to wear proper protective gear while cleaning, including masks and disposable nitrile gloves
  • The GYMVMT app has been optimized for a seamless booking experience and touchless check-in at reception
  • Booking in the app helps us monitor club and class capacities and reduce crowding at reception
  • Protective barriers have been installed at all reception desks
  • All cardio equipment is spaced 3 metres apart
  • Cardio equipment with fans (like Airdyne bikes and select rowers) are temporarily unavailable
  • Select equipment is unavailable to maintain physical distancing
  • Guiding floor markers have been installed in the clubs
  • Designated sweat spaces are marked in the Group Fitness and Cycle studios
  • Fans have been removed or turned off to reduce the spread of germs
  • All porous foam or fabric material items are removed from workout areas. Items include, but are not limited to:
    • Blue Foam Rollers
    • Yoga Blocks
    • Yoga mats
    • All ropes (cable attachments, battle ropes and climbing ropes)
    • Bags, Tubing
  • Select lockers are unavailable to maintain physical distancing
  • Every second shower will be open to encourage physical distancing
  • High-touch surfaces in the shower areas will be disinfected every 75-minute time block
  • Each night, the showers will be thoroughly disinfected with Sabre Disinfectant – rated by Health Canada for use against COVID-19
  • Towels will be kept at front desk and handed to members directly
  • Front desk employees, will sanitize their hands between handing out each towel
  • Employees who handle used towels will wear gloves, and change to a new pair of gloves before handling clean towels
  • Steam rooms and saunas are temporarily closed until they can be reopened safely
  • Items such as hair tools, Q-tips, and cotton rounds are unavailable to minimize common touchpoints

Book your workout in the GYMVMT app

  • Members are required to book workouts in the GYMVMT app
  • One 75- minute workout can be booked per day
  • Book up to 3 workouts or classes at a time
  • Slot your workout into your schedule up to 7 days in advance or as late as 5 minutes before coming in
  • Cancel your workout or class directly in the app to clear a spot  for those on the waiting list

Group FitnesS

In accordance with Government of Alberta restrictions, Group Fitness classes are temporarily unavailable. During this time, active in-club members can opt in to access GYMVMT GO – our online fitness streaming platform – for free until December 31, 2020. Learn more about GYMVMT GO.


Tennis & Squash

  • Calgary Edgemont Tennis and Squash courts are open
  • The Pro shop is open for retail
  • Equipment rentals are temporarily unavailable
  • Reserve your court time through the GameTime app in addition to booking club access through the GYMVMT app
  • Wash your hands before and after play
  • Bring your own equipment
  • Some courts are temporarily closed
  • Maximum 2 players allowed on the court at once (unless from same household or cohort)
  • Seating and viewing is closed at this time
  • Courts and high touch areas including, door handles and the tables behind the courts, are disinfected regularly

Following guidance from our government, all in-studio Trū Ride classes will be cancelled until further notice. ⁠ During this time, we’re excited to extend free access to GYMVMT GO to active members until December 31, 2020 to enjoy their favourite Trū Ride classes live and on-demand.   • The PWR X LAB studio will be hosting open gym time for individual workouts coached in a semi-private formatPWR X LAB members can book their open gym time in the GYMVMT app.

Remote Fitness Membership options

The Wi-Fi is the limit! Get remote and personal with our remote fitness memberships – designed to help you stay active anytime, anywhere.

  • Whatever your fitness goals are, wherever you want to crush them, get a personalized fitness program and virtual coaching from one of Alberta’s top trainers.


  • We have temporarily reduced club hours for the summer and will assess returning to regular hours in the Fall if it is safe to do so. You can find your club’s hours on our locations pages.

Here are a few steps you can follow to gain access:

  1. Make sure you have the latest version of the GYMVMT app. Update the app through the Apple Store or Google Play.
  2. The GYMVMT app is a member-exclusive portal and is integrated with our internal customer management software. The email you use to log into the app must match the email we have in our system. If you’re unsure which email that is or you are not able to book your workout, please email [email protected] so we can take a closer look.                                                                                     
  3. If you are a new member, our system automatically created an account in the GYMVMT app for you. Check your inbox for an enrolment email from MyWellness cloud (don’t forget to check your junk mail folder).

  • You can arrive any time after your workout begins. You can only book one workout per day in the GYMVMT app — if you need your time, just ask reception so we can extend your workout. 
  • Please note, Group Fitness classes will be temporarily unavailable from November 13 to November 27, 2020.
  • Once classes resume, you can reschedule your workout by cancelling your spot in the GYMVMT app and rebooking at a time that works better for you.
  • We’re closely following the recommendations of the Government of Alberta, who have mandated a temporary pause on all Group Fitness classes, which is set to end on November 27, 2020.  
  • In the meantime, members can continue to join their favourite classes with our online fitness streaming platform, GYMVMT GO. Active members can opt in to get free access to the platform until December 31, 2020
  • Complete the form on Once our team validates your membership, they’ll send you a welcome email with your access code and log-in information. This is a manual process, so please allow 1-2 business days to receive your access code following your submission.
  • All active GYMVMT and HER GYMVMT members can op in to access GYMVMT GO for free until December 31, 2020. Following the expiration, members can add GYMVMT GO to their membership from just $9.95 bi-weekly.
  • GYMVMT GO has been made temporarily available to active members as a temporary solution to the Group Fitness program suspension. As such, members who are currently subscribed are not eligible for free access. 
  • Group training sessions will be limited to four members per session. Our training pros will also refrain from high-intensity training and instead focus on strength, mobility, flexibility, and core stability. If you’re interested in high-intensity interval training, we invite you train remotely.
  • No, remote training clients can continue to crush their workouts virtually with their personal trainers!
  • We’re working with a smaller team than usual. If your personal trainer has not been recalled yet, we’d be happy to temporarily set you up with another trainer for in-club sessions, remote sessions, or both! Speak to your club’s General Manager or Fitness Manager to make arrangements.
  • You are invited to visit your club and check out our enhanced cleaning, disinfecting, and safety protocols .
  • If you’re still hesitant, try out our remote fitness options — designed to help you stay active anytime, anywhere.
  • You can also extend your membership freeze for up to three months at no additional cost (for a limited time).

  • It is as important as ever to maintain a fitness routine, and we would love to help you get started either in-club or remotely.
  • If you would like to freeze your membership, you can opt into a membership freeze for up to 12 months.
  • The fee to freeze your membership is $50 + GST
  • If you reinstate your membership before January 31, 2021, we will apply that amount as a credit towards your dues.
  • Complete the form at the bottom of this webpage and a representative from our Member Services team will be happy to get your account up and running so you can book your first workout.
  • You can also visit the club and our team will get you started!
  • Although workouts and classes that are booked in advance through the GYMVMT app are guaranteed, walk-ins are accepted if you check in at reception.
  • Please note: You may have to wait for an available workout slot if the club is at capacity.
  • We will be closely monitoring the piloted location reopenings and look to open the remaining Little MVRS when it is safe to do so. Find more information here. 

Little MVRS hours are based off of peak Group Fitness and club times, as class and capacities open-up we will look at potentially extending the hours.

Kids are not required to wear masks, as per Alberta Health Service guidelines.

Little MVRS capacity has been reduced to a maximum of eight Kids. Guiding floor markers and stations have also been installed at the locations to encourage physical distancing into and throughout Little MVRS.

Along with completing a thorough cleaning and disinfecting checklist utilizing certified disinfectants, we have removed items and toys that cannot be disinfected entirely. We have also implemented a “Stop and Wash” program to encourage proper handwashing.
