I earned my Personal Training certification through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), building on years of hands-on experience in movement, discipline, and performance. I am also a certified DNA-based trainer, allowing me to integrate genetic testing into program design and remove much of the guesswork around how individuals respond to training, recovery, and nutrition.
One of the biggest challenges people face in fitness is plateauing — doing all the “right” things but no longer seeing progress. Through DNA-based training, I’m able to identify genetic characteristics that influence how someone adapts to stress, volume, intensity, and recovery. Some people thrive with higher volume and frequency, while others respond better to lower volume, higher intensity, or longer recovery windows. When training isn’t matched to these traits, progress can stall.
By understanding these genetic tendencies, I’m able to adjust variables like training style, progression speed, deload timing, and nutritional strategies to help clients break through plateaus rather than push harder in ways their bodies may not respond to. This creates training plans that evolve with the individual instead of forcing everyone into the same template.
My background includes extensive training in varied martial arts, which gives me a unique focus on balance, body awareness, and mastering specific movement patterns. This influence shapes my coaching style — emphasizing control, coordination, and learning how to move with intention, not just how to lift weight.
Rather than acting like a drill sergeant, I believe in guiding people to tap into the energy and strength that already exists within them. For some, that connection comes easily; for others, it takes time — but my role is to help uncover it, refine it, and build confidence through movement.
One area I’m particularly passionate about is helping clients target and reduce visceral fat — the internal fat that often goes unnoticed but has the greatest impact on long-term health. By combining smart programming, recovery awareness, and individualized nutrition considerations, I help clients lose fat in a way that supports long-term health, performance, and sustainability.
