Hello world, my name is Daniel Lo. I am currently a Pro Trainer in GYMVMT Kensington. I am from Hong Kong and moved to Edmonton 2 years ago. I started working out in 2019 because of my scoliosis and knee valgus which impacted me greatly when I was younger. But soon I realized I knew nothing about training or programming, I was only doing what the gym bros told me to do at the gym which even worsened my knee valgus. So,I decided to take the National Academy of Sports Medicine personal trainer course to learn how to train myself properly. And ever since then I have been a trainer until I moved to Edmonton. I went to NAIT and finished my personal fitness trainer diploma there. I also compete as a body builder, which grants me a different perspective of training and a lot of experience in fat loss, building muscles mass. I also love cooking (or a.k.a meal prep) Hence, I specialize in building muscle mass, losing fat and corrective exercises.

I’m Hiam Sleiman, your typical gym junkie who has a lot to share with the world! I used to be very unhealthy and unfit, I weighed about 256lbs when I was 16! So, I got in the habit of working out and proper eating, along the road just fell in love with fitness and the human body!
I am originally a Physiotherapist from Lebanon, I graduated with a degree and I have multiple certificates in my domain. So, I know exactly how the body moves and every little detail on how to avoid injuries. I’ve helped people walk after being paralyzed and now I’m helping people pursue in the dream of being healthy and happy with their bodies! I strive to give the support that I have never received when I was younger.
I’m a very chill person and love being outside in the sun. I love to swim and talking walks on the lake. I’m also in love with kickboxing! I used to be a kick boxer and I still do it from time to time. I love to read poems and anything that has to do with history or knowledge in my spare time. and let’s not forget ….Working out on the daily! One of my favourite workouts or exercises would be for the booty! I love working on legs and glutes. Hip thrusts and half squats would have to be my fave!

I have been a personal trainer since September 2011. I became a personal trainer to not only improve my fitness but to also help others with their fitness goals. I was always very active growing up, playing baseball from the time I was young. After having my children, I was very lazy and unfit. I knew I wanted to be a better role model for them and guide them with an active and healthy lifestyle. I hired a personal trainer for myself and realized how much she inspired and motivated me and that’s when I realized my passion was to help others achieve and surpass their goals.
As your personal trainer, I will be your number one cheerleader. Whether it be weight loss, strength training, rehabilitation or just knowledge of what to do, I’ve got you! A few fun facts about myself! I am a mother to 5 children and 1 grandson. I LOVE being outside and just enjoying nature. My summers are spent at my lake lot where I go to relax and rejuvenate. I love going for hikes with my family, especially in the mountains.

After serving two years with the Singapore Armed Forces and another couple of years coaching Gymnastics Yidong studied Kinesiology-exercise and sport studies-at the University of Saskatchewan.
With over 9 years of experience in the fitness industry, Yidong is great at challenging his clients and himself in many aspects to improve daily life. Diverse life experiences have helped him to learn that being fit is about more than physical strength, but also mental health and an overall healthy lifestyle. His military training has taught him how to push the body beyond its limit to achieve fitness goals with a focus on strength training, weight loss training and nutrition. Sport specific training, and High Intensity Interval Training are also favoured styles.
With “Give one more try before you give up,” as a line that has stuck with him since his army days he will push you out of your comfort zone and assist you to achieve your goals while building a stronger mind and body.
